The Google Pixel 4 was officially announced and made available for pre-order on October 15, 2019, with the first listed shipping date of October 24, 2019. The launch price was US$799. Google expanded carrier partnerships, offering the Pixel 4 through all major U.S. carriers for the first time, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others.

The Pixel 4 introduces Motion Sense, a miniature radar sensor that detects movement around the phone, enabling hands-free gestures.
