Overview
The BOON BGCBK Compact Velcro Glove Black & White is a Muay Thai style boxing glove built around a compact hand compartment. The source describes it as a new ergonomically designed glove intended for intense training sessions, hand-made in Thailand from top quality genuine cowhide.
The glove is listed in a single black and white colorway with the BOON logo on the glove and thumb. It is positioned as a training glove rather than a competition-only model, and the source emphasizes fit, airflow, and knuckle protection as its main design points.
- Intended use: Muay Thai style boxing glove for intense training sessions.
- Construction origin: Hand-made in Thailand.
- Shell material: Top quality genuine cowhide.
- Colorway: Black and white, with BOON logo on glove and thumb.
Materials and Construction
The source identifies the shell as top quality genuine cowhide and states the glove is hand-made in Thailand. That combination is the main material claim in the listing, and no other shell, lining, or padding materials are documented beyond the foam layers.
The padding is described as three layers of foam, listed for superb shock absorbency and excellent knuckle protection. The glove is also described as well-balanced with optimal weight distribution, which the source ties to the overall construction rather than to a specific measured figure.

- Origin: Hand-made in Thailand.
- Padding: Three layers of foam.
- Balance: Described as well-balanced with optimal weight distribution.
Fit and Sizing
The defining fit characteristic of this model is its compact hand compartment. The source states it offers an excellent fit for smaller hands and wrists, which distinguishes it from gloves built around a larger internal volume.
Sizing is listed across five weight options. The source does not provide hand circumference measurements, palm width, or a size-to-body-weight chart, so the oz range is the only sizing guidance available.
- Hand compartment: Compact, described as an excellent fit for smaller hands and wrists.
- Listed sizes: 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz, 16 oz.
- Missing data: No hand measurements or sizing chart in the source.
Closure and Wrist Support
This model uses a shorter hook-and-loop Velcro strap rather than a long lace-up closure. The source lists the shorter Velcro design as providing superior wrist support, and the compact strap length pairs with the compact hand compartment described elsewhere in the listing.
The source does not specify strap width, strap material, or a wrist circumference range. Those details are not documented and are not inferred here.
- Closure type: Hook-and-loop Velcro.
- Strap length: Shorter than a standard Velcro strap, per the source.
- Stated benefit: Superior wrist support.
- Missing data: No strap width or wrist circumference range listed.
Design and Colorway
The glove is offered in a black and white colorway with the BOON logo appearing on both the glove and the thumb. The source describes the design as new and ergonomic, and pairs that with the compact hand compartment as the main ergonomic feature.
Airflow is also part of the design description. The source states the glove provides optimal air circulation to keep hands cool during training, though no vent layout or mesh specification is documented.
- Colorway: Black and white.
- Branding: BOON logo on glove and thumb.
- Ergonomics: Described as a new ergonomically designed glove.
- Ventilation: Listed as optimal air circulation to keep hands cool.
Price and Availability Notes
The source page lists the BOON BGCBK Compact Velcro Glove Black & White at US$115.00 and marks it as in stock. That figure is a listed retail price from the product page, not a launch or MSRP price, and the source does not provide a release date for the model.
Because no launch price is documented, the affiliate table below uses the listed retail price as the starting price reference. Buyers should treat the US$115.00 figure as the current listed storefront price rather than a confirmed manufacturer launch price.

Source Notes and Caveats
The primary source is the BOON Sport product page for the BGCBK Compact Velcro Glove Black & White. A minor URL slug inconsistency appears in the source, where the product URL uses bgnbk while the product title and model number use BGCBK. That inconsistency does not conflict with the confirmed model number BGCBK.
The source also includes storefront shipping context, such as worldwide shipping in 3-4 working days, free shipping within Thailand, and a free singlet with orders over US$100. Those are storefront terms rather than product performance features, and they are noted here only as source context.
- Canonical model family: BGCBK.
- Regional variants / SKU codes listed in source: URL slug
bgnbkappears in the product URL only. - Storefront context: Shipping and promotional terms are listed on the source page but are not product specifications.
- Missing data: No care instructions, warranty terms, or launch date are documented.
Summary
The BOON BGCBK Compact Velcro Glove Black & White is a hand-made genuine cowhide Muay Thai glove aimed at smaller hands and wrists. Its compact hand compartment, shorter Velcro strap, and three-layer foam padding are the main source-backed features, and it is listed in five sizes from 8 oz to 16 oz.
The main limitations are documentation gaps rather than product defects. The source provides no launch price, no release date, and no care or warranty details, and the US$115.00 figure is a listed retail price rather than launch/MSRP evidence.
